About the Author

C. Foskey

C. Foskey created The History of Black History to tell this story the way it deserves to be told — vividly, honestly, and beautifully. Frustrated that so much of this history is scattered, sanitized, or simply forgotten, Foskey set out to build a single illustrated volume that families, students, and lifelong learners could hold, share, and treasure.

Volume 1 is the beginning of that mission: a foundation stretching from Africa's great empires to the threshold of the twentieth century — with more volumes to come.
